The Internet is made up of amazing content from all over the world, and sometimes the content you want to read is in a different language. Luckily, Google Chrome has built-in support for the Google Translate service, which automatically translates a page into the language of your choice.
If you visit a website using Google Chrome and it is written in a different language, the browser will automatically display a prompt asking if you want to translate the page into the default language, as shown below.

If you click the Translate button, Google will send the URL to the Google Translate service, which will translate the page content into your default language. This can be seen on the website below, which has been translated from Dutch to English.

If the “Translate” prompt does not appear when you visit a foreign site, you can display it by clicking the icon in the Chrome address bar as shown below.

Selecting the language you want to translate into
By default, Google Chrome translates a web page into the default language configured on your operating system.
If you want to translate a page into another language, or if Google Chrome is having trouble detecting the correct language for a page, you can select the language you want to translate from and to by going to the translation options.
This page can be accessed by clicking the button Options in the Translate This Page dialog box as shown below.

When you click the “Options” button, you must select Change languages to go to a page where you can choose the language of the page and what you want it to be translated into.

When you’re ready, click on Transfer and the page will be translated to and from the configured languages.
